Non-Performing Loan Fund
Apollo European Principal Finance Fund (EPF) is an investment vehicle launched in May 2007 to invest principally in non-performing loans (or NPLs) in Europe. NPLs are loans held by financial institutions that are in default of principal or interest payments for 90 days or more. EPF seeks to capitalize on the inefficiencies of financial institutions in managing and restructuring their NPLs. We believe the EPF team’s global experience and local network of relationships complements Apollo’s background in distressed and private equity investing.
EPF is structured with many characteristics typically associated with private equity funds, including multi-year capital commitments from the fund’s investors. As of March 31, 2012, EPF's total assets under management was approximately $3 billion.
